Meet Jennifer Diaz

Children’s Author, Educator, Army Veteran, and Founder of Jelly Bean Dreams Publishing

Jennifer Diaz is a children’s author, educator, Army veteran, special-needs mother, and the founder of Jelly Bean Dreams Publishing. Her work is inspired by faith, family, imagination, and the belief that every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and included.

As a mother of three, Jennifer’s greatest inspiration comes from her own family. Raising a child who is blind and autistic has given her a deeply personal understanding of how differently children experience, communicate with, and learn about the world. These experiences have shaped her passion for creating thoughtful books and resources that celebrate individuality, encourage confidence, and make room for every kind of learner.

Jennifer has worked closely with children, families, educators, therapists, and service providers throughout her career. Her background includes early-childhood intervention, special education, parent coaching, developmental support, and autism-focused graduate studies. She brings both professional experience and a parent’s perspective to every resource she creates.

Through Jelly Bean Dreams Publishing, Jennifer writes and develops children’s stories, coloring books, faith-based materials, inclusive learning resources, and creative tools for families and educators. Some of her books begin with a playful question, while others explore faith, emotions, belonging, sensory experiences, or the beauty of God’s creation.

No matter the theme, each project is created with heart and purpose.

“My hope is that every child who opens one of my books finds something that makes them smile, strengthens their faith, sparks their imagination, or reminds them that they belong.”

The Heart Behind the Books

Jennifer’s books are often inspired by everyday moments with her children, the questions they ask, the challenges families face, and the small experiences that can grow into meaningful stories.

Her work is guided by four central values:

Faith
Creating gentle, encouraging resources that help children and families explore Scripture, prayer, hope, and God’s promises.

Inclusion
Celebrating different abilities, communication styles, sensory needs, emotions, cultures, and ways of learning.

Family
Designing books that encourage connection, conversation, creativity, and meaningful time together.

Imagination
Helping children remain curious, dream boldly, and discover wonder in the world around them.

A Personal Note From Jennifer

Thank you for visiting Jelly Bean Dreams Publishing.

What began as a collection of ideas inspired by my family has grown into something much bigger than I imagined. Every story, coloring page, and learning resource carries a piece of my journey as a mother, educator, veteran, and person of faith.

I create for the children who learn differently, the families searching for encouragement, the educators who want meaningful resources, and every young dreamer who deserves to see that their story matters.

I am so grateful that you are here and becoming part of the Jelly Bean Dreams journey.

With gratitude,
Jennifer Diaz
