From One Little Question to a Growing World of Dreams

Jelly Bean Dreams Publishing began with a child’s imagination, a family nickname, and the belief that even the smallest ideas can grow into something meaningful.

The name Jelly Bean was inspired by my dad’s little puppy, whose sweet and playful personality made the name feel full of warmth and joy. As the idea for the business began to grow, Jelly Bean Dreams became the perfect name, because we are all dreamers, and every dream begins as a small idea waiting to bloom.

Where the First Story Began

The publishing journey started with my son Austin and one simple, imaginative question.

While playing with one of his favorite toy tractors, Austin wondered:

“Does a tractor have a mother too?”

It was the kind of thoughtful question children ask when they are trying to understand the world around them. That little moment became the inspiration for my first children’s book, Does a Tractor Have a Mother Too?

What began as a conversation between a mother and her child grew into a heartwarming story about curiosity, imagination, and the special bond between a mother and child.

That first book planted the seed for Jelly Bean Dreams Publishing.

How the Dream Grew

After publishing Austin’s tractor-inspired story, I began to see possibilities everywhere.

Ideas came from everyday family moments, questions my children asked, lessons I had learned as a mother and educator, and my experiences supporting children with different abilities and ways of learning.

One story soon grew into a collection of ideas for:

• Faith-based resources

• Inclusive learning materials

• Journals and activity books

Today, Jelly Bean Dreams Publishing creates meaningful books and resources designed to encourage children to imagine, learn, believe, and belong.

Our growing collection includes playful stories inspired by childhood curiosity, coloring books filled with creativity and wonder, faith-centered resources rooted in hope, and inclusive materials that celebrate different abilities, emotions, communication styles, and ways of experiencing the world.
